NAC History

Northport (AL) Alumni Chapter

Charter Date- May 17, 1981

  Chapter Nickname- NAUGHTY NAC

The Northport Alumni Chapter, of Kappa Alpha Psi, the Naughty NAC Nupes, Lovers of the Bond, Keepers of the Bridge.

  Northport Alumni Chapter’s Logo

The Chapters Logo initially created in 2017 by chapter member L.S. Smith. The Logo primarily represented by the chapter’s initials “NAC.” Some features that are present in the Logo include a bridge making the letter A in “NAC.” The bridge symbolizing the connection of the city of Northport and Tuscaloosa and also the connection (Bond) between brothers. The third interpretation of the bridge is the connection between student days https. The Bridge stands over a small depiction of the chapter’s home state, Alabama. The Bridge is centered inside a 5-sided diamond shaped crest. Over time there have been additions to the Logo including the four-sided Diamond “K” and a Scroll bearing the Greek Letters Phi, Nu, and Pi placed equidistance left and right of the bottom sides of the crest. Brother James A. Little, Jr. played a large part in the development of the chapters present Logo.
